The IFEX Impulse Gun is designed as a highly versatile tool for fire brigades and rescue teams everywhere in the world. With only small amounts of water, these smart fire fighting tools have the capacity of extinguishing even large fires. The high shot velocity of more than 400 km/h and the large cooling surface provide high fire stopping power from a distance. With foam additive, liquid oil fires can be fought. Using only fresh water, fires in live high voltage electrical equipment can be extinguished.
IFEX BACKPACK
The IFEX backpack is the most mobile support unit to be used in combination with the IFEX impulse gun. The unit holds a 13 liter water/agent cylinder, a 2 liter air cylinder and a pressure regulator with two outlets giving air pressure to the gun and to its water support. Water and any additive can be filled directly into the water cylinder, the concentration of additive should be reduced to 0,5 - 1% rather than the 3 - 6% normally recommended. The harness is provided with an additional bracket for mounting an extra air cylinder to support a breathing apparatus.
IFEX TROLLEYS
The IFEX trolleys with their capacities of 35 or 50 liters allow the firefighter to achieve more than just a first attack. He can use the standard breathing apparatus and still be mobile and flexible; the water capacity for up to 100 impulse shots provides him with the fire stopping power to keep even large structural fires under control.
The trolleys consist of a water/agent cylinder, a 6 liter air cylinder and the pressure regulator with two outlets. The unit is assembled on a wheel base with brackets for the impulse gun, the air cylinder and a 15 meter coaxial hose.
FAST ATTACK SKID UNIT
The IFEX fast attack skid units in combination with the IFEX 1 liter Gun come in 2 main versions:
- For any type of vehicle (even passengers cars), fast attack skid v.1 is the ultimate independent mobile fire fighting solution. Equipped with 72 liter water tank, 55 meters hose reel and the necessary air cylinders, it can be mounted onto a vehicle in less than a minute
- For vehicles with water tank, places with existing water supply or even homes with water pools, fast attack skid v.2 is another versatile and efficient fire fighting solution. Equipped with a water pump, 45-100 meters hose reel and the necessary air cylinders, it can be installed and ready for use within couple of minutes.
